Macomb County Hosts Third Annual Health and Wellness Fair this Summer:

Maximizing Emotional and Physical Well-Being for All Ages

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (August 4, 2025) Nearly 70 organizations in Macomb County will come together on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Macomb County Health and Wellness Fair. The fair will be held at the Macomb Intermediate School District, 44001 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038.

These organizations will be on-site, sharing information, resources, and tips to help Macomb County residents better prioritize their physical and mental health. Attendees can expect to enjoy free food, health screenings, face painting, short massages, and more. Additionally, there will be opening remarks from Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, Macomb County Community Mental Health CEO Traci Smith, and Macomb County Intermediate School District Superintendent Mike DeVault. Fairgoers will also receive a copy of a Wellness Resource Guide.

“In Macomb County, we continue to take a mindful approach to mental health,” said Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel. “Together, we have built stronger and healthier communities. We stand ready to support all our community partners involved in this work, ensuring that everyone has access to the services they need.”

The Wellness Fair strives to offer fresh and engaging experiences each year, providing a more comprehensive approach to wellness for our community. This year, attendees can look forward to: 

“The Health and Wellness Fair, now in its third year, is a vital event for Macomb County, uniting organizations to support both mental and physical health,” said MCCMH CEO, Traci Smith. “This event helps break the stigma surrounding mental health and connects residents with essential resources. By fostering a culture of understanding and support, we empower individuals to take charge of their well-being and create a healthier, more resilient community.”

“Macomb County enjoys a rich history of strong collaboration, and this event is proof that when organizations work together, we help our community learn about how to access the many resources that our agencies provide. This event will be showcasing the best of Macomb County, and we hope you will join us,” said Michael DeVault, Superintendent of the Macomb Intermediate School District.

“The Health and Wellness Fair offers Macomb County residents of all ages no-cost access to a broad collection of experts and resources that can make a life-changing difference in their lives and the lives of their family,” said Andrew Cox, Director/Health Officer of Macomb County Health and Community Services. “I encourage everyone to take advantage of this great opportunity.”  

This collaborative effort by community partners and organizations is made possible through purpose-driven leadership, shared resources, and grants awarded to MCCMH by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
