ACCESS AND ACCOMODATIONS

Accessibility at MCCMH

All MCCMH service sites are barrier‑free and meet standards for physical accessibility. Service animals are welcome at all MCCMH sites. If you need additional physical changes to make services easier to use, talk about this at your Person‑Centered Planning meeting or with your Supports Coordinator, Case Manager, or Therapist. We will work with you to meet your accessibility needs in a fair and helpful way.

If you need an accommodation and feel it has not been provided, you may contact the Ombudsman or the Office of Recipient Rights for help.

Interpreter Services

If you or someone in your family needs an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, or if you use another language and want help in that language, you have the right to request an interpreter. You can also ask for written materials to be translated.

To get an ASL interpreter or help in another language, let Customer Service or your Supports Coordinator, Case Manager, or Therapist know. They will provide an interpreter at no cost to you.

For more information, please visit the ASL and Interpretation Services page.

Michigan Relay Center

The Michigan Relay Center helps people with hearing or speech difficulties make calls. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year. The Relay Center can help you contact any office, business, or home, even if the other person does not have a TTY.

You can reach any MCCMH office through the Michigan Relay Center by calling TTY 800‑833‑5833 or Voice 800‑833‑7833.
