In July of 1990, a group of public agencies within Macomb County formally organized as the Macomb County Human Services Coordinating Body (HSCB). An initial inter-agency service assurance agreement that formalized the Macomb County HSCB was approved by eight member agencies.
The Macomb County HSCB released the Children’s Symposium Report. From this document came the community issues and work group projects.
The state human services directors and the Superintendent of Public Instruction signed a document entitled, “Our Commitment to System Reform for Children and Families.” This paper confirmed their commitment to a collaborative, seamless, locally controlled, family-friendly systems reform.
The Macomb County Human Services Coordinating Body (HSCB) was approved as the Multi-Purpose Collaborative Body (MPCB) for the Macomb County community.
