In An Emergency Calling the Access Center Calling CARE

Using Walk-In Services

There are two ways to start receiving services through Macomb County Community Mental Health. You can call the Access Center by phone for a telephone screening and appointment scheduling at the clinic of your choice, within two weeks of your call. Or, you can walk in to one of the clinics below for an immediate, face to face screening and short term services. It’s not necessary to do both.

Walk-in screening and service is currently available only for those seeking services related to a mental health condition, not for services related to a developmental disability, or for hospital aftercare services. If you need DD or hospital aftercare services, please call the Access Center at 586-948-0222.

If you want services related to a mental health condition, you can go to one of the sites below for immediate assistance:

When You come In For Walk-In Service

When you come in for walk-in screening or services, please bring with you your picture ID, proof of income (pay stubs or most recent tax return) and your Medicaid or other insurance cards, if you have them.

Remember! If you’ve already contacted the Access Center by phone and they have made an appointment for you at one of our clinic sites, it’s not necessary to go to the walk-in location. Just go to your appointment as scheduled. If you want to change an appointment that has been scheduled for you by the Access Center, call them back at 586- 948-0222 to request the change.
