Instructions for connecting to your work environment from your home.  These instructions apply to Citrix Users.  Others wishing the same capabilities should contact support@mccmh.net for assistance

1.         These instructions assume you have high speed internet access.  It is possible to follow these instructions using a dial-up connection, but the amount of time needed rises dramatically.  High speed internet access is recommended.

2.                  If you have AOL or other ‘Web Portal’ system, you will need to perform the following steps before continuing.  Connect to the Internet using your normal AOL account.  Once connected, minimize AOL, then proceed to the next step.

3.                  These instructions work best if your home monitor is set to 1024 by 768.  If your display at home is set smaller, you may encounter having to scroll around your any desktop in order to control it, and if your display is much higher, you may find your Any Desktop to be too small to be usefull.  Please adjust your display options accordingly.

4.                  Open internet Explorer.  Enter the following web address:
https://nfuse-csg.mccmh.net

This will take you to our gateway, which is shown below

If this is the first time you have used our Gateway, you should see the page illustrated above.  Notice that a warning sign is shown, and below it is a link to the client software you will need to download and install.  Simply click on the link that says “ICA Web Client for 32-bit Windows” as shown above.

In  moment or two, you will be asked if you want to Open or Save the File.  You should choose to save the file, as shown below.  Choose Save by clicking on the Save button.

It’s a good idea to save this file to your desktop so it will be easy to find.  You will only need the file this one time.  Go ahead and save the file to your desktop as shown below.

After the download is complete, go to your desktop and double click the ica32t.exe file.  The installation is fairly quick, and you can accept all the defaults.  Once the installation is complete, quit Internet Explorer, then re-launch it.

Notice that the appearance of our gateway has changed, as illustrated below.

Now, simply log in using your login and password just as if you were at your desk.  Once logged in, you will see the following menu…

Any Desktop is your shortcut to your working environment.  Clicking on it will open up the same exact desktop you see at work.

Pictured below is an example of your window.  However your window looks here at work, it will look the same from home.  You have access to all the same resources and files, programs, etc, while connected from home.  Just be sure to Lock Your Session whenever you leave your computer, and Log Out when you are finished working

Remember, you are responsible to maintain your working environment in a secure fashion, and that includes when you are home.

Now, you have to ask yourself, do you REALLY want to work from home anyway???
