The Macomb County LOSS (Local Outreach to Survivors of Suicide) team provides on-site support to bereaved family members in the wake of an apparent suicide. LOSS teams are contacted by law enforcement  to provide immediate on site support as an investigation takes place. The LOSS team is a group of survivors and professionals from mental health and other disciplines who have been specially trained to provide crisis intervention, education, community resources, and emotional support.
